Pentax K-3 Mark III Monochrome Digital SLR Camera

Pentax, the company that manufactured Japan's first single-lens reflex camera, has introduced the K-3 Mark III, a flagship APS-C model that embodies the brand's philosophy, technology, and passion.

This compact and lightweight APS-C single-lens reflex camera boasts a wide viewing angle equivalent to that of a full-size camera, with a field of view of approximately 100% and an optical viewfinder that is 1.05x magnified. The brightness of the viewfinder has been improved by around 10% compared to the K-3 II, thanks to enhancements in the reflectance of the pentaprism.

The camera's viewfinder and monitor height are designed to prevent your nose from making contact with the body, allowing you to look into the viewfinder more naturally. An eye sensor automatically turns off the monitor when you're using the viewfinder, preventing the illumination of the status screen from affecting visibility during shooting and enabling a more comfortable photographic experience.

Boasting an impressive top ISO sensitivity of 1.6 million, the K-3 Mark III delivers excellent descriptive power across the entire sensitivity range. Its multi-dimensional image space filtering effectively reduces noise while preserving fine contours, maximizing the resolution performance and faithfully reproducing the texture and details of the subject.

Equipped with a 5-axis, 5.5-shutter-step in-body SR mechanism, the K-3 Mark III is compatible with all mountable lenses, expanding the limits of handheld shooting. The camera's thorough dust-proof and weather-resistant construction, with 95 sealing parts on the body, ensures great performance in outdoor environments. The use of high-strength, lightweight magnesium alloy for the entire camera body provides excellent durability and impact resistance.

The newly developed mirror and shutter drive system, combined with the PRIME V high-speed image processing, enables high-speed continuous shooting of approximately 12 images per second in AF.S mode and approximately 11 images per second in AF.C mode. The expanded SAFOX13 autofocus system, with 101 focus points, ensures highly accurate subject capture.

Dual SD memory card slots, with the first slot compatible with UHS-II for high-speed writing, provide versatility and flexibility. The camera is also equipped with a large touch-screen LCD monitor, enabling more efficient and speedy operation.
