This compact telephoto zoom lens boasts enhanced autofocus (AF) performance and a minimum focusing distance of 0.95 meters, providing versatile focal lengths ranging from 84.5mm to 460mm (in the 35mm format)* to cover medium- to super-telephoto ranges.

The lens's upgraded AF system ensures quiet, high-speed AF operation when shooting still images and smooth AF tracking during movie recording, minimizing operation noise caused by focus and aperture shifts. Its short minimum focusing distance of 0.95 meters further enhances its versatility.

Featuring PENTAX's first K-mount with an electromagnetic diaphragm control system, this lens offers a quiet sound operation during movie recording. The nine-bladed diaphragm, rear focus system, and PLM (pulse motor) direct-drive lead screw system contribute to the lens's quiet zoom operation and high-speed AF capabilities.

Thanks to its collapsible structure, this compact telephoto zoom lens provides convenience and portability. The weather-resistant construction and inclusion of ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens elements ensure brilliant sharpness and saturated colors, while the HD coating optimizes light transmittance and minimizes reflections.
